Twitter Is Not Okay After Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan Announce Breakup

Hearts broke all over the world last night when Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their separation after nearly 9 years of marriage.

They share a daughter, Everly, who turns 5 in May.

As you likely know, the pair met while working on their 2006 movie, Step Up and have been the cutest dynamic duo ever since. So you can imagine that the internet absolutely LOST IT when their separation news hit the web.

Channing and Jenna shared a joint statement that said they had "something they would like to share" and that they have "lovingly chosen to separate as a couple."

The statement also said that "absolutely nothing has changed" about how much they love one another and that, "love is a beautiful adventure" that is taking them "on different paths for now."

Read the full statement here:

It's the "for now" that really broke my heart because it sounds like they still have some hope of getting back together in the future... maybe.

Of course they included they are "still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly" which is truly the most important thing in this all.

But even with their amicable break up, the internet simply cannot handle the news.

People are experiencing the breakup like their own:

And honestly, the month of April is ruined (as is their movie Step Up):

Or maybe the whole thing is just some mad and mean belated April Fool's joke?

But probably not. AND NOW we're all worried about other Hollywood couples. I swear if Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow break up, I won't be able to recover.

And while we're at it with Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, can we also protect Chrissy Teigen and John Legend? And Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Please. We've lost too many of these iconic couples!

As for this tweeter, I still believe love is real! Some couples make it out alive!

I wish the best for Channing and Jenna as they deal with this break up in the public eye, and of course hope Everly is doing well and adjusting to her parents living apart (which has apparently been going on for months now.)

Ugh. Sad day for Hollywood.
