Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy will soon be in-laws.
On Saturday (November 30), Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin, and Murphy's son, Eric, took to Instagram to announce their engagement.
The couple, who have been together for over three years, shared a video of Eric getting down on one knee to propose to Jasmine in a filled with candles and flowers.
“11.27.2024. We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️," Jasmin and Eric captioned their post.
“Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!” they added.
The pair reportedly became Instagram official in June 2021.
When asked about his son's relationship with Lawrence's daughter, Eddie Murphy joked about how funny their potential future child would be.
“We just was like, ‘It’s cool.’ Yeah, it was cool. We thought it was cool,” Murphy told "CBS Mornings" in July. “They’re both beautiful, they look amazing together — and it’s funny, everybody’s like, ‘What, that baby going to be funny?’ Our gene pool is going to make this funny baby.”
