SummerStage Announces Massive 2026 Lineup Celebrating 40 Years in NYC Parks

New York City’s iconic outdoor concert series is back in a big way. The Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage has officially announced its 2026 season—marking a major milestone as the festival celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Kicking off June 10 in Central Park, the season will feature more than 60 free and benefit shows across all five boroughs, bringing world-class music and performances to neighborhood parks all summer long.

Opening night will include a free performance from GRAMMY-winning vocalist Ledisi, launching a lineup that spans genres from hip-hop and indie rock to jazz, Latin, and global music.

This year’s lineup includes an impressive mix of legends and rising stars, with artists like Laurie Anderson, Mavis Staples, De La Soul, Spoon, Shaggy, Julieta Venegas, and Angélique Kidjo all set to take the stage.

Fans can also catch standout events like the return of the Charlie Parker Jazz Festival, plus special anniversary celebrations, global showcases, and performances in parks across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.

Most shows are free and open to the public, continuing SummerStage’s mission to make live music accessible to all New Yorkers—while select benefit concerts in Central Park will help support the festival’s programming.

From legendary acts to emerging voices, SummerStage’s 40th season is shaping up to be one of its biggest yet.
